The $849 plastic MacBook in stock
Macs: A number of news outlets, including Computerworld, are reporting Apple’s high and low end Macs are moving well enough, while sales of mid-range products have plummeted.
This trend is visible in the availability of refurbished Macs on the Apple Store, especially the entry-level MacBook, which as often as not is unavailable. Moreover, like today, when you it’s available, you will generally only find one configuration on hand, which sells through quickly.
