Steve Jobs ‘too weak’ to attend town meeting
Steve Jobs is sick. Steve’s designing new world beating products in his spare time. Steve’s negotiating with Verizon. Steve’s coming back in June. Steve’s everywhere except visible and still news is filled with Steve, Steve and more Steve Jobs.
Today? No exception.
Fortune reports that the lawyer representing the Apple CEO before the Woodside, CA town council vis-a-vis Steve Jobs’ desire to tear down a decrepit home he owns there said the following when asked whether his client would attend the hearing:
“I don’t think he would be strong enough if we were here until 1 am, and I think there’s a strong possibility of that.”
When the Palo Alto Daily News reporter covering the hearing left to file his story at 10:30pm last night opponents and proponents of Jobs application to tear down the home were still going at it.
Not strong enough? I think it just as likely Jobs wanted to avoid the meeting simply because he could. Besides if you had billions and could pay someone to represent you before the local council, wouldn’t you? Honestly, what else is money for…
