Apple begins 2009 back to school promo
Yesterday, I was speculating on what Apple’s 2009 student and teacher come on would look like. Interestingly, Apple has already begun the promotion, which is about a week ahead schedule if past practice is any guide.
The Apple Store for Education is now listing the details:
If you’re a college student or a faculty or staff member at any grade level and you buy a new Mac before September 8, you can get a free iPod touch.* No wonder they call these the best years of your life.
As was the case last year, purchasing any new Mac will also net you a free 8GB iPod touch, though you can’t opt for the 8GB nano as was the case in 2008, which seems an odd omission for tight wad Apple.
Also, sadly, Apple has chosen not to offer, at least not yet, a free 8GB iPhone, which I’m probably not alone in wanting.
Save up to $50 when you buy an electronic download version on select products. Be green; say no to packaging and emissions. exp 5/31/09
