Adobe Creative Suite 4For weeks now already, it has seemed as if the next Leopard refresh was just days away. For better and worse, that state of affairs continues as it comes to light that Apple has seeded developers with a new build [9J58] of the update, which arrives changed in two areas both affecting CFNetwork in association with Safari, VPN and iChat.

According to World of Apple, which offers a full listing of OS X 10.5.7 changes to date, Safari 4 Beta browser will not install—the one continuing issue with this update.

For its part, AppleInsider reports that “Apple’s now said to be easing into the release of the Leopard update and making sure all its ends are tied.”

For what it’s worth, OS support for the recently announced nVidia Quadro FX 4800 for Mac, which is expected to ship this month, is baked into OS X 10.5.7.
