Alexander Clauss has announced the release of iCab 4.6, “an alternative web browser for the Apple Macintosh with numerous useful features not found in other browsers.”
New and notable in this release:
Displays the most visited, the last visted and the favorite web sites similar to Exposé as thumpnail overview. Bookmarks can get color labels. IRI support (can be switched on/off), displays language-specific characters in URLs as clear text. Many other improvements and some bugfixes.
Get your copy of the WebKit-based iCab 4.6 here (8.5MB). This browser is not free and sells for $20 (was $25).
For iPhone, too
I can’t say that I’m a fan of iCab for Mac. However, iCab for iPhone ($1.99) is brilliant and far and away the best browser for Apple handheld devices.
