Next generation iPhone coming in EDGE, 3G, TD-SCDMA?
In an otherwise dull little write up about how certain Taiwanese optical and connector OEMs are benefitting from the upcoming release of the next generation Apple handset (ie fluffing their stock price), there’s some very interesting information about new iPhone specs and markets.
CENS (China Economic News Service) reports that the third version of iPhone will ship in three different communication standards, including EDGE (enhanced data rates for GSM evolution), 3G and China’s related standards (TD-SCDMA). Moreover, it’s claimed that the iPhone is scheduled to be officially launched in the Middle Kingdom early July.
