Opera 10 beta 2: Faster under the bonnet, prettier above

Apple Online StoreOpera’s next generation browser promises better performance on slow connections via Turbo Mode and Speed Dial, and a more attractive, functional front end, notably enhanced tabs and a resizable search bar.

Everyone’s favorite Norwegians has released Opera 10 beta 2, which comes to market with these immediate changes:

• New Speed Dial icon
• Enabled an errorlog-upload dialog box
• Opera Turbo warning icon
• Warning and advice about why dictionaries.xml file sometimes is missing from Auto update
• A “Synchronize Opera” button in the Speed Dial page

Opera 10’s Speed Dial feature allows the user to preload from 4 to 25 webpages for quick viewing, an old idea that’s very, very useful for folks on dial-up connections.
