Melanie Fiona is a Toronto-bred R&B singer and Kanye West protégé. If her debut single, Give It to Me Right, with a sample from the Zombies Time of the Season, was a sting jab, then It Kills Me is the devastating left hook. Fiona flutters across the “he done me wrong” ballad with a startling range of sensitivity and strength.
