Get the Falling Snow screensaver for OS X
You know that awesome screen saver on all of the Macs at the Apple Store? Hey, it’s been spotted out and about on the interwebs, and we’ve got a link, plus installation and configuration tips.
A Little Bit of Nothing Left, a.k.a. Russell Warneboldt, created Snowfall, a screensaver for OS X 10.4 (Tiger) and later. This is the screensaver used on the Macs all ’round the Apple Store during the holiday shopping season.
Installing SnowFall ScreenSaver in Mac OS X:
1. First off, you’ll need to get your very own copy of Snow Fall 1.0 right here (411K).
2. Drag the SnowFall.qtz file into ~/Library/Screen Savers/

3. To configure, go to System Preferences -> Desktop & ScreenSavers -> Screensaver
— In addition to the speed and number of snowflakes, you can set background color and even add you own background image for that personal touch
