iPhone apps: ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas!’
If you learned to read in mum and dad’s lap somewhere in these United States, there’s a pretty good chance Dr. Seuss (a.k.a. Theodor Geisel) were the first books that you heard and then read aloud. I have some fine, fine memories of these books both as a child and sharing them with my own children—some things just transcend the generations.
That said, How the Grinch Stole Christmas (iTunes, $3.99) is now available in app form for the iPhone and iPod touch.
Given that the treeware version sells for $15, the App Store version—which can read to your child, allow them to read solo and interact with the text and images—at $3.99 seems pretty reasonable.
Cat in the Hat, anyone? Hopefully, that book and the entire Dr. Seuss collection will be available on the App Store soon.
What’s your take?
