Little App Factory claims 99.999% ripping success with RipIt
Tired of MacTheRipper crashing and Fairmount failing to mount? Here’s a ripping application that makes a bold, bold claim of near perfect ripping — they’ve got my attention!
Little App Factory claims that its RipIt (10 free DVD rips, $19.95) offers a nearly perfect record when its comes to ripping commercial DVDs:
We’d like to report that RipIt has just been verified to work with its 250,000th unique disk! If you put that against the failures that have been reported, our success rate is a truly ridiculous 99.9999%!
The kicker here is that Little App Factory states if you find a disk that can’t be ripped, send them an email and they work up an application that will deliver a rippable disk. That might not be of much help to you, however, chances are you won’t be the one getting the bum disk.
You will, nevertheless, benefit from any and all updates — sounds like a deal to me. And, as noted above, you can download and rip 10 disks before you have to pay for RipIt, which is none to shabby either as far as demos go.
