Even before the iPad launched, Apple sales and marketing people had been spotted in hospitals selling administrators and doctors on the idea. Now, we have our first confirmed sale.
CrunchGear brings us the perhaps inevitable news that Kaweah Delta Health Care in Visalia, CA has purchased a large number of iPad to perform a range of personal, administrative and medical task. The truly interesting bit is that these jobs will get done via virtualization.
What began as a three iPad trial has turned into an order for 100 Apple tablets, which will be rolled out over the next two months.
Back in January, even before the device had been announced, Apple reps were spotted marketing iPads to doctors at Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
