By all accounts, Steam for Mac is already a huge success with millions of the rest of us already downloading and playing on the industry-standard gaming platform.

However, one of the big holes in Steam for Mac support to date has been the absence of Half-Life, a nearly six-year-old first-person shooter (fps) that still defines competitive online gaming.

From today, however, Half-Life 2 is now available on the fairer platform and at a special price, $6.99 ($9.99 SRP).
