iPad owners very satisfied, says survey

Market and product analytics firm ChangeWave has published an iPad user survey (153 respondents) that strongly echoes what pundits and users are saying about Apple’s latest insanely-great product. Nearly three-quarters of those queried say they’re very satisfied with the device with an additional 17 percent indicating they’re somewhat satisfied, meaning 91 percent are on the whole happy with their purchase.

ChangeWave also asked about areas where the iPad leaves them wanting more. Although the Adobe trolls are sure to publish story after story declaring “Flash the most wanted iPad feature,” the above numbers indicate that it’s an issue not a show stopper.

In fact, when it comes to “missing” features, a camera and USB ports are rated more important among those surveyed by a fairly wide margin. Thereupon, it’s interesting that printing and Flash, both very 20th Century technologies, are given the same weight by users.

It should come as little surprise that iPad owners are using the device to surf the web and check email — two areas where Apple’s latest creation excels. Further, as you can see from the above, users are a consuming a wide range of media and content on their iPads, a fact that will drive development and delivery of even more video and print media apps and consumables.
