Toast 10.0.7 includes iPad export profile

For a long time, getting video off DVDs and into iTunes was a serious pain and involved anyone of a half dozen ripping tools with Little App Factory’s RipIt finally emerging — eight of eight so far — as the best and most reliable. Through it all, however, Toast has been a rather steady partner vis-a-vis conversion from one codec to another, though here too my app folder is cluttered with conversion apps.

Hopefully, the latest iteration of Toast will win soon the video conversion app battle. The latest update, Toast 10.0.7 (version notes), finally adds an iPad export profile and patches some bugs, too:

  • iPad video export profile now available as device setting for video exports
  • TiVo recordings (US only) can now be exported at 640×480 resolution
  • Resolves issue where text entered may appear outside text field
  • Resolves issue where DVD-Video volume with \ in name may be handled incorrectly
  • Resolves issue which may cause application to crash
  • Get your copy of Toast 10.0.7 here (registration required).
