Flip4Mac, a set of free video components allow you to import, export and play Windows Media video and audio files on your Mac, has been updated to v2.3.3.3. This maintenance release is all about quashing bugs.

Here’s the new stuff:

• Local multi-stream files will now use the fastest stream available.

• Fixed problem where the last frame was being skipped playing.

• Updated Silverlight templates used for export.

• Fixed bug with some .sax sites returning a -19421 error.

Flip4Mac is available for free as a set of codecs for playing back about two dozen Microsoft-specific codecs and file formats. Yes, you can also edit (not with iMovie), export and save using the free, though it will be watermarked.

That said, there are various “pro” player and studio version starting at $29.
