Valve bringing Counter-Strike to the Mac

Kotaku reports that Valve will release Counter-Strike on Steam for the Mac next week. Given that the company has set aside Wednesday for “new” Mac releases, it won’t be arriving any earlier than that.

That said, this isn’t gonna be your big brother’s Counter-Strike as Valve’s been brewing a major update of this classic title already for some time. The new version will offer 144 new Steam achievements, a look at lifetime and match-specific player stats, as well as a few visual tweaks and Source engine updates.

Yeah, it’s been about six years since Counter-Strike was released for the PC, but it’s still a hugely popular title and, as you can see in the clip, fragging is good, clean fun.
