Apple revenues by product in pretty colors

Yes, a picture is worth a thousand words and Business Insider has created a nice one. However, if your visual acuity is anything like mine, adding a word or three of description can’t hurt the cause of understanding. Thereupon, here are some revenue by product estimates for Apple’s last quarter:
• Total revenue of $15.7-billion
• iPhone takings totaled about $5.5-billion
• Mac sales pulled in $4.4-billion
• iPad generated $2.2-billion in revenue
• Flaggin iPod business netted $1.5-billion
• iTunes, peripherals, software accounted for $2.1-billion
So, in the space of three months, iPad has gone from zero to easily besting iPod revenue and about half of that generated by the Mac.
Lastly, Apple says that it expects earnings per share of $3.82 on $17-billion in revenue next quarter. However, given the company’s predictability in low-balling results, perhaps revenue in the neighborhood of $20-billion isn’t too far fetched…
