Adobe has released yet another out-of-cycle patch for yet another critical vulnerability. And, yes, it’s yet another memory corruption vulnerability that could put bad people in control of your Mac. There is, of course, no mention of whether or not the associated exploit has been seen in the wild.
Adobe has released Shockwave Player 11.5.8.612 which addresses the 18 vulnerabilities described in this security bulletin. Their simplistic description reads:
“Addresses critical vulnerabilities involving memory corruption that could possibly lead to malicious code execution.”
