Alexander Clauss has updated his highly capable and I believe best-of-class mobile browser for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. iCab Mobile 3.6 (iTunes, $1.99) comes to market with a mix of improved, iOS 4 tweaked and fixed features that greatly improve usability. Here’s the new stuff:

• Under iOS 4, downloads can run while iCab is in the background

• Document sharing feature is now also enabled under iOS 4

• In the in-app settings, there’s a new “FAQ News” section with frequently asked questions and answers

• On the ipad, the tabs bar can be automatically shown/hidden

• Fixes several issues under iOS 4 that arose when switching between different iCab Mobile (kiosk, password protected, guest, private) modes

I’ve written extensively about iCab Mobile, use it daily on a Wi-Fi iPad and second-generation iPod touch, and highly recommend it to anyone.
