iPad orders now shipping in three to five days

Until today, the iPad has been listed on the Apple Store with seven to 10 day availability. Now, the mothership is offering — four and a half months after the device originally shipped — three to five day availability. Moreover, the improvement comes for all current models, from the 16GB Wi-Fi only entry-level unit ($499) to the gnarliest 64GB Wi-Fi + 3G iPad ($829).

That said, with the supply situation apparently easing, it seems reasonable to believe that Apple’s finally ready to begin offering the iPad, which is available in about 20 markets, in additional countries.

It’s interesting that this improvement in the supply situation comes right in the midst of the back to school shopping season…
