Opera 10.6.1 puts a thumb to bugs

Everyone’s favorite Norwegians have updated their browser, bringing out a straight maintenance + security update that patches a score or so bugs and vulnerabilities. With its perfect 100/100 on the Acid3 test and solid HTML5 standard support, Opera 10.6.1 (release notes) comes to market with the following changes under the hood:

• “Fraud Protection” renamed to “Fraud and Malware Protection”
• Fixed: Relative paths not working in the Filename setting for Speed Dial background
• Fixed: Premature shutdown when using vBulletin’s WYSIWYG editor
• Fixed: Google Calendar compatibility
• Fixed an issue where heap buffer overflow in HTML5 canvas could be used to execute arbitrary code
• Other security updates and more
