Ever vigilant (go ahead, flame me) Mozilla has updated their popular open-source email client. Likewise Qualcomm has pushed Eudora, a Thunderbird variant, another step closer to the release of final code. However, perhaps the most important story in this post is Unison, a usenet client that reminds of the renaissance of this once ubiquitous internet protocol and community.

• Thunderbird 3.2.1 (release notes), download
— Several fixes to improve stability, the user interface

Eudora OSE 1.0 rc2 (release notes), download
— Eudora OSE (Open Source Edition) is a re-imagining and re-implementation of classic Eudora features on top of the Mozilla Thunderbird codebase. Available in versions for Mac, Linux and Windows

— Added scoring system to Rules, can add points and then act on the accumulated score
— Unison now automatically retries files that error with “No Such Article”
— Fixed potentially unnecessary file cancel after “No Such Article” error
