Delicious Library 2.5: Scores of bugs smooshed

2 September 2010 1,468 views No Comment

Although neither the Delicious Monster website nor blog have any hint that an update’s been posted, a fresh version of the popular media cataloging software is available. I know it’s out there because MacUpdate says so (and I downloaded a copy).

Anyway, Delicious Library 2.5 is available and comes to market with scores of bug fixes listed, colored with lots of Wil Shipley-esque self deprecation, and here are six of the top issues addressed in this release:

• Fixed a crasher after configuring MobileMe and publishing.
• Recycle memory more efficiently when publishing collections, so very large collections (14,000+ items) now can publish without slowing down, running out of memory, and crashing
• Fixed a longstanding bug seen when pairing a scanner, hanging the app
• Fixed two crashers around parsing invalid files when importing
• Fixed a bug where if you restore from a backup certain seemingly unrelated operations will crash the app much later
