Fake: Automate your online workflow

How does your day go? Well, if you blog, then you’re probably also deeply into social networking, as well. Gosh, wouldn’t it be nice if we could automate a lot of the click, post, paste, comment, share, drag, etc. drudgery that makes living the “new” economy so much work?

I haven’t delved into Fake (4.9MB) yet, but the promise is tantalizing. Seriously, here’s a browser for Mac OS X that allows you to drag discrete browser actions into a graphical workflow that can be run again and again without human, meaning you, interaction.

Built around WebKit, the open-source underpinnings of Safari, and AppleScript, a motivated person could post to certain self-promotion websites and then clear Fake’s cache of any evidence of your that person’s activity. Run it on a different Mac, pour in some fresh squeezed VPN and set it up to automagically rinse and repeat — the mind reels with possibilities…

What’s your take?
