Apple’s popular Buy a Mac for college and get a free 8GB iPod touch back-to-school promotion is coming to an end next Monday. And, although the boilerplate says “college,” the offer is open to students, teachers and their families in the K through 12 segment, as well. Whether public, charter or private, all are welcome to participate — no one’s checking IDs.
And, yes, if you want a nano or classic, those are covered, as well. Everything has to be on the same invoice and you’ll $50 more for the privilege of getting a classic (max. $199 value).
Also, you have to pay for the iPod touch upfront, though Apple’s rebate process is easily the quickest and most painless in the industry. The painless nature applies whether you’re doing back-to-school or just getting a free after rebate printer, which you can also get along with a free touch.
Again, Apple’s 2010 back-to-school promo ends next Monday, September 7.
