Fedex Kinko’s to complete free wi-fi rollout
Mobile bloggers of America rejoice! By the end of this month, most US Fedex Office Print & Ship Center retail locations will off free wi-fi via wireless provider AT&T — that’s more than 1,600 stores around this oddly fractious Union providing a big boost for blogger kind. Free wi-fi über ales!
Fedex has announced it will offer free and unlimited Wi-Fi access at most of its US locations. Currently, the number of locations is more than 1,000 and will top 1,600 when the rollout is completed by the end of October.
“How and where people are working has evolved dramatically over the past several years thanks to technology innovations,” said Kim Dixon, executive vice president and COO, FedEx Office. “At FedEx Office, we continuously strive to enhance the customer experience in our stores. We are delivering on that commitment with the launch of free Wi-Fi service at more than 1,600 locations across the country, while better meeting the needs of small business and mobile professional customers who work remotely.”

For additional details on the program and locations, point your browser at www.fedex.com/wi-fi. Fedex joins McDonald’s, Tim Horton’s, Starbucks and a host of other retailers around the US that offer free wi-fi.
That said, here are at least three Fedex Kinko’s locations along my regular routes, and I’m sure I’ll find more once gymnastics and Tae Kwon Do competition season kicks in…
