Geekbench gains unified interface

19 November 2010 1,323 views No Comment

Geekbench 2.2 beta 1 has arrived and it sports a unified interface. Instead of being three app, it’s now one application and you can now run 32-bit, 64-bit and Rosetta benchmarks from one window. There’s also a new feature, a built-in stress test, which can discern whether your particular Mac’s results significantly fall below or above the norm for that model.

There are a couple of caveats, though. In addition to the fact that this is a beta — it expires in a couple weeks — you can’t run it in 64-bit mode without a license.
