Mac OS X 10.6.5: It’s here [u]
There’s no sign (yet) of this update on Apple’s site and the link included in the Software Update only now started working, but the Mac OS maintenance release with iOS 4.2 dependencies has finally arrived. There is improved Exchange Server reliability and a performance boost for graphic apps and games. What else? Step inside for the full monty.
Apple has released Mac OS X 10.6.5 Update. I haven’t tracked down a direct download link yet, but this maintenance release has begun populating on the company’s Software Update servers. See below for the direct links.
Here’s what’s new:
• Improves reliability with Microsoft Exchange servers.
• Addresses performance of some image-processing operations in iPhoto and Aperture.
• Addresses stability and performance of graphics applications and games.

• Addresses a printing issue for some HP printers connected to an AirPort Extreme.
• Resolves an issue when dragging contacts from Address Book to iCal.
• Addresses an issue in which dragging an item from a stack causes the Dock to not automatically hide.
• Resolves an issue in which Wikipedia information may not display correctly in Dictionary.
• Improves performance of MainStage on certain Macs.
• Resolves spacing issues with OpenType fonts.
• Improves reliability with some Bluetooth braille displays.
• Resolves a VoiceOver issue when browsing some websites with Safari 5.
• Improves Bluetooth pairing with Magic Trackpad.
• Resolves performance issues with third-party displays that use InstaPort technology.
• Add SSL support for transferring files with iDisk.
• Resolves an issue when opening 4-up Photo Booth pictures in Preview.
• Addresses keyboard responsiveness issues in the Dock when Spaces is turned on.
• Resolves an issue syncing Address Book with Google.
• Fixes an issue when replying to a Mail message sent by a person whose name contains certain characters such as é or ü.

As noted, Apple hasn’t yet posted direct links so check Software Update — if it’s not there now, check in a few minutes.
[u] Macworld UK reports that Apple patched 130 security vulnerabilities with this release, setting a new record for problems patched besting the previous record of 90 set back in March.
Personally, I will be waiting for the Combo Update, which generally provides a better upgrade experience and post-update performance than applying the smaller, in this case 500-plus megabyte, delta patch.

I have a problem with the overall premise of your article but I still think its really informative (spammer). I really like your other posts (flattery will get you edited). Keep up the great work (your spam links are gone). If you can add more video and pictures can be much better (hitting approve now). Because they help much clear understanding.
