Put down that cocktail! HandBrake 0.9.5 has arrived

Download movies burn them to disk, iPod, iPhone and iPad? Then you’ve got to know this app and all of the wonderful things it can do to video, like sync subtitles, from just about any source. That said, it hasn’t been updated since November of 2009 and the changes and bug fixes in this release are most welcome.
My favorite DVD ripping app is RipIt, which quite happily allows the user configure Handbrake directly to output iPad, iPhone, iPod, Apple TV, etc. compatible files.
Now, although we must mark the passing of PPC support, HandBrake 0.9.5 (release notes) has arrived to sound church bells ringing throughout the land, heralding a host of updated functionality and, yeah, bug fixes.

• Updated Libraries (x264, ffmpeg)
• SSA Subtitle support. (Including burn-in)

PPC support has been dropped with this release — old Macs don’t die, they just use HandBrake 0.9.3…
What’s your take?
