A fresh report out of Taiwan just might be the news Android tablet makers have been waiting for. However, so far the only source we have is a pair of Asian analysts and that’s an information channel highly prone to error.

Quoting Yuanta Securities analysts Vincent Chen and Alison Chen, Bloomberg reports that Apple may have already delayed the iPad 2 delivery from April until June. Although specific issues haven’t been cited, “production bottlenecks” at Hon Hai, a.k.a. Foxconn, related to unnamed changes Apple made to the device just before the Chinese New Year at the beginning of February.

“Our checks suggest new issues are being encountered with the new production and it is taking time to resolve them,” said the analysts. “As a number of Android 3.0 tablets are being launched in April and May, the delay in iPad 2 shipments may give the Android camp a brief window of opportunity.”

Neither Apple nor Foxconn would comment for the story.

Previously it had been reported that the iPad 2 was in production and the iPad 3 coming in the Fall.

[u] Now, All Things D reports that there ain’t such thing as production bottlenecks slowing down the iPad 2. Back to your knitting…

What’s your take?

iMac. The ultimate all-in-one. Turbocharged.
