MacTracker 6: New UI, new products, ‘My Models’ fixes

There’s one encyclopedic Apple product reference and this is it. But, this isn’t your daddy’s MacTracker. Version six comes to market with a new user interface chock full of features and eye-pleasing product icons. Come inside for the full monty on what’s new.
Ian Page has released MacTracker 6 (release notes). This whole number rewrite not only features the latest Apple hardware but also a redesigned user interface, in-window search, numerous improvements to “My Models” and information on bundled software.
• Adds Early 2010 MacBook Pros (13-inch, 15-inch, 17-inch, Early 2011)
• Adds iPhone 4 (CDMA)
• Adds iPad 2 (Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi + 3G GSM)
• Redesigned user interface
• Adds the ability to search within the info and Compare windows
• The type of comparison can now be changed on-the-fly in Compare
• Adds “History” category to show recently viewed models
• Adds ability to change the type of model for entries in “My Models”
• Adds ability to import reports created by System Profiler to “My Models”
• Adds ability to export and import entries in “My Models”
MacTracker is available on the Mac App Store (free). Existing users should click “Check for Updates” (Command + U) under the MacTracker menu.




Great program. Version 6 doesn’t work in Tiger. Requires 10.5. FYI
