At the end of March, it was widely rumored that the Motorola Xoom was only shipping about 300,000 units per month. Well, that estimate turns out to have been wishful thinking by a factor of three and then some.
Loop Insight, quoting Deustche Bank analysis, reports that Motorola has sold a total of 100,000 Xooms since the device went on sale in February.
Similarly discouraging news comes from Sprint, which has slashed the price of the Galaxy Tab to $200 with two-year contract.
Again, the Xoom’s only managed 100,000 units and Sprint is taking it on the chin to clear out the Samsung Galaxy Tab. This is getting embarrassing…
