Hype 1.0.2 quashes bugs [u]

Tumultco’s Hype, a timeline-based WYSIWYG HTML5 animation creation app, arrived on Friday, May 20 and has been generating shockwaves ever since. However, the rollout hasn’t been entirely problem free with some users reporting inconsistent behavior.
If you’ve been following the Hype support forum posts, there are a few consistent themes, such as blank scenes, inability to delete content, etc. In response, Tumult has shipped [u] Hype 1.0.2 (Mac App Store), which addresses many if not most of the issues described by users:
• Fixed issue where the preview/export could be blank
• Fixed issue with deleting duplicated scenes using buttons
• Easier separation between HTML and Resources (you only need to edit the script tag’s src in the HTML)
• Fixed issue preventing Hype documents from being embedded in frames
• Fixed text shadows not always showing up for buttons[u] • v1.0.2 contains critical bug fixes
Hype 1.0.1 is a free update for registered users and a license sells for $29.99
Back to work
I spent the better part of a day last week trying to review Hype. Although it’s easy enough to use, I couldn’t coax it into producing consistent results on my 2007 iMac running Mac OS X 10.7 Lion.
Now, with Hype 1.0.2 available listing fixes for issues that I experienced, I’m looking forward to getting that review out…
What’s your take?
