Play Angry Birds in HTML5

Angry Birds is everywhere you wanna be! You can get a 70-level version for free that will run on anything running Chrome, because it’s been ported to HTML5. Yes, it’s true and as addictive as ever. Personally, the Angry Birds gold standard is the iPad version and I’d gladly pay for it again (metaphorically speaking) to keep the privilege.
Wanna play THE game of the decade, but don’t want to settle for 18 or 20 level ad-supported version (yeah, that’s cheesy)? Well, Angry Birds is now available in HTML5, which means there are no nasty Adobe Flash dependencies and it’s free, free, free.
Angry Birds doesn’t need an explanation. Angry birds is now in HTML5 with 70 levels. Just keep in mind that it was optimized for Chrome so that is where you will get the best performance. Also, if you’re interested in a little hack to unlock all of the levels, check out this blog post.

Well, there’s that — Angry Birds HTML5 isn’t stable in Safari 5.x and under Firefox gameplay is smooth, though some of the controls don’t work.
So, fire up Chrome and just keep playing right through dinner, dishes, LA Law, Jimmy Kimmel, Adult Swim, work the next day, etc…
What’s your take?

Unfortunately, the HTML5 version of Angry Birds is apparently still dependent on Flash for sound.
Steve is correct, but that is the case with a lot of HTML5 games right now. HTML5 audio is still being ironed out and seems to be the one real problematic element of HTML5. It will be figured out in due time, but for now the fact that there exists a full angry birds game in HTML5 is impressive.
