Although it was recently knocked from the App Store’s coveted number one spot by The Heist, Angry Birds is back with a new update that’s got the compulsory passel of new levels, as well as a new bird with its own unique characteristics and learning curve.

Angry Birds Rio 1.2 (iTunes, $0.99) is a free update for registered users that delivers a whole new episode with 15 all-new levels and a new bird type.

And, isn’t interesting that this game has turned out to be more popular than than movie it ties in with? Rio, the movie, just kind of petered out (great game, though)…
