A fix for a problem that, according to mothership, only in “rare cases” could cause one of their popular iMac desktop computers to not start up or wake from sleep — speak to me, baby, speak to me. It’s never a bad time for Apple to be opaque. Thereupon, they’ve shipped iMac Graphic FW Update 2.0 and the release notes offer only the following smidgeon of information:

This firmware update fixes an issue that in rare cases may cause an iMac to hang during startup or waking from sleep.
