Python’s Jones: ‘[I] thought he was just being lazy’

If a Python can’t have a laugh at a dead friend’s expense, then who can? The surviving Monty Python members that matter have reunited to voice a 3D animated feature film based on Graham Chapman’s (the dead one) A Liar’s Autobiography (iTunes, $9.95).

Pythons John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Michael Palin and Terry Jones — Eric Idle is not involved — are lending their voices to the project.

Thereupon, Jones joked to the BBC that he had “no idea” Chapman was dead and “thought he was just being lazy.

“However, I am now delighted to find myself working with him again on this exciting project,” he added.

The film is due out in Spring 2012 — just in time for the end of the world.
