Opera 11.5 builds out Speed Dial, CSS, HTML5, etc.

All kinds of major tweaks and build outs, as well as a browser engine update. Taken altogether we’re looking a fairly major release that extends and enhances Opera’s industry leading Speed Dial, extensions, CSS and Widgets features.
Alpha, beta and RC releases preceded the arrival of Opera 11.5 (change log), which is a fairly standard approach to development. However, Opera’s model lives somewhere between Apple’s one big annual Safari release and the accelerated Google / Mozilla development approach (three or four whole numbers per year).
• Presto 2.9.168 rendering engine
• Opera Link Password synchronization
• Plugin installation wizard
• Speed Dial extensions
• CSS — Improved deep nesting of the quotes property, etc.
• HTML5 dataset attribute — Added support for the dataset attribute on, etc.
• Opera Widgets specification
— Default widget size has been overridden from 100×100 to 300×300
And, just for giggles, I pointed Opera 11.5 at the HTML5 Test and it scores an improved 268 (plus 7 bonus) points out of 450. Of course, sharp-eyed Fairer Platform readers have correctly noted that the HTML5 now features a 450 point scale, up from 400 back in May.

286 points for 11.5 on a linux system,
