Team Fortress 2 now free
Guns, violence and general denigration of the human spirit — but that was one wicked headshot, eh? Granted, no amount of deodorant or mouth wash can freshen up this aging game title. However, “free” is the word that brought you here so the concept of personal hygiene might not even matter.
Valve shipped Team Fortress 2 back in 2007 and the graphics, etc. have that kind of charm. A benefit thereof is that you can run this first person shooter on almost any OS X 10.5.8 and OS X 10.6.3 or higher Mac.
You will also need 1GB RAM and an nVidia GeForce 8 or ATI X1600 or Intel HD 3000 (WTF!) or higher graphic card.
Of course, you will have to install Steam (Valve) and set up an account, both of which are also free. Once that’s done you’ll note that Portal is also available for free download — double dipping, sweet.
Lastly, go get Team Fortress 2, which is available for the PC, as well. And, please for the sake of the rest of us, brush your teeth when you come out to pee into 10 or 12 hours…
What’s your take?
