When it comes to your Mac’s personal hygiene, it can be time consuming to keep it optimized and the caches clear. If you’re running OS X Snow Leopard or earlier, there are plenty of choices vis-a-vis Mac maintenance utilities. As of this writing, however, there’s only one choice if you’re running with the Apple’s latest big cat.

Swedish developer Maintain has announced the availability of Cocktail 5 beta. Aside from the fact that it’s available and version 5 beta specific help files, no other information has been published:

A public beta of Cocktail 5.0 (Lion Edition) for OS X Lion (10.7) is now available for download. This time limited beta is free of charge and does not require a valid license. The final version of Cocktail 5.0 (Lion Edition) will be released in August 2011.

Get your copy of Cocktail 5 beta here, which is a time limited demo. A full license sells for $15.

Also, app creator Maintain offers versions of Cocktail for Snow Leopard, Leopard and Tiger.
