With more than 1.5 million users worldwide, Lemkesoft’s image editing and format conversion app the Mac is popular. Moreover, it’s been a platform staple for over a decade, but this isn’t your daddy’s image editor.

Capable of importing 200 graphics formats and outputting another 80, GraphicConvertor is a highly capable shareware app — true shareware — that supports Adobe Photoshop plugins and has pretty good slideshow functionality built-in, too. The latest update, GraphicConverter 7.3 (release notes), offers new and tweaked features, but the headline addition is Mac OS X 10.7 Lion compatibility.

• Lion support added
• Copy XMP sidecar file option into RAW added
• Copy as data URI commands added
• Import and export of HTC splashscreen (*.rgb565) added
• Preference to restore startup selection dialog added
• Gradient option to edit color table dialog added
• AAI import added
• Display of cached small preview in browser can be disabled in the prefs
• More scale presets added to size submenu
• Shortcut for open with app in browser added

GraphicConverter 7.3 is shareware and sells for $40 — get your copy here.
