As doppelgängers go, this guy is pretty good and his current gig has to be better than teaching English to kids at some bushiban for $20 an hour — trust me, it only sounds like good money. Interestingly, other than the fact that he bears a reasonable resemblance to the Apple CEO, we don’t know anything about him.
That said, if doppelgänger guy can work up a decent approximation of Steve Jobs’ delivery and mannerisms, he could make a living out of his genetic good luck.
Whatever the case, Tongyi (a.k.a. President Enterprises, a Taiwanese foobev conglomerate and owners of the 7-11 franchise rights on the Silicon Isle) has a hot commodity and perhaps an international phenomenon on their hands…
What’s your take?

My take is that you been there, done that, and you know your buxibans from your anshen bans, and bravo, great post, Mr Doppelganger blogger! This ad is airing on Taiwan TV channels this week, I tried to contact Presidentay 711 Corp but no reply as of press time and this vid is now going viral, glad to see you picked it up, too. What we really want to know is who is the doppel man? My guess it’s an expat doing something or other in Taipei, maybe teaching, not a model, but maybe a local NTU exchange student too. When I find out i will dish. Sign me, Biko Lang, south Taiwan, advert watcher 24/7 esp of the 711 kind. Cheers, Bloom Dan, 1949-2032
