What would we do without this free, open-source app? For one thing, I wouldn’t be able to listen to radio broadcasts (asf format) of my favorite AA minor league baseball, the Erie Seawolves, making my already mundane life just that much less livable.

The VideoLAN Organization has released VLC Media Player 1.1.11 (blog), which is a plain jane point-update. Thereupon, security issues in the bundled real and avi demuxers get a going over, as does MacOSX Media Key handling and Auhal audio output.

And, yes, there are some generic GUI, decoder and demuxer bug fixes, as well.
