It’s been a busy, busy week for Mac software updates. With Safari and iTunes bumps under our collective belts, Apple has Lionized its productivity triple threat — Pages, Numbers, Keynote — and here’s a quick look at the changes.

On Wednesday, Apple loosed a software barrage, including the long-awaited Mac OS Lion, as well as complementary Safari 5.1 and iTunes 10.4 updates — all of which generated a lot of chatter on the web.

Less remarked is iWork 9.1 (download), which brings Mac OS X Lion-specific features to company’s productivity suite. Thereupon, Pages, Numbers and Keynote now offer full-Screen, Resume, Auto Save, Versions and Character picker.

Additionally, iWork 9.1 brings improved Microsoft Office Compatibility and Keynote 5.1 now includes new Anvil, Fall Apart builds.

There are scores of compatible and Mac OS X Lion ready apps. Check out the Fairer Platform’s growing list.
