Firefox 3.6.20 quashes security, stability issues

The release of Firefox 6 final got all of the headlines, but Mozilla’s been busy in the kitchen with other things, too. Thereupon, users of the open source group’s older PPC compatible browser have gotten some love, too. Step inside for the details.
We could be forgiven for thinking that Firefox 3.6.x development was finished, but Mozilla updated it once again. Firefox 3.6.20 (release notes) is now available, though don’t get your hopes up for new features or tweaks — this release is just a patch:
• Fixed several security issues.
• Fixed several stability issues.
• Enabled downloadable font support for users running Mac OS X 10.7
What the heck — why would anyone be running 3.6.x on OS X Lion? Must be an IT thing.
Get your very own copy of Firefox 3.6.20 here. Lion users might want to think twice and get Firefox 6, which is creamy smooth n’ fast riding OS X 10.7…
