Apple’s iTunes 10.4.x is 64-bit, but that comes with a catch — none of your old visualizer plugins will load unless you run iTunes in 32-bit mode. Now, there’s a (fairly unexciting) 64-bit compatible visualizer and it’s free.
And, what does Jacket 2.0 do? Pretty much what you see in the above screen cap — display the album art with song, artist and album name. You can also toggle lyrics by pressing the “L” key.
Tapping the “F” key gives you the opportunity to change the font.
And, that’s it. No funky animations or flowering fractals, but it does run in 64-bit mode and that’s a good thing.
You can download Jacket 2.0 here.
