NetNewsWire 3.3 gets Lion friendly

When Lion arrived in beta, one of the apps that had much difficulty was Brent Simmons’ long loved RSS client, NetNewsWire. He did push out NetNewsWire Lite, which runs on Lion, but it was roundly panned by bloggers and users.
Then in June, Simmons announced he was moving on and that iOS developer Black Pixel had purchased the app.
Now, at long last, NetNewsWire 3.3 has arrived and it’s compatible with OS X 10.7:
• Adds Full Screen mode support on both Lion and Snow Leopard
• Provides fixes for problems affecting concurrency, stability, and Google Reader sync
• NetNewsWire 3.3 requires Mac OS X 10.6.8 or later
• OS X 10.5.8 and earlier users should continue to use NetNewsWire 3.2.15
NetNewsWire 3.3 (download) is still free and seems to be stable — it does what NetNewsWire has always done, which is a very good thing.
I’ve since moved on to Reeder (review), which is available on the Mac App Store ($9.99).
