Refurbished Airport Express, $69; Airport Extreme, $129

One of the smartest things I’ve done in the last two years was to stop reseting, coaxing and otherwise living with a failing D-Link router. That device was replaced by an Apple Airport Extreme Basestation, which has been superbly reliable and provides dual-band support for our family’s faster Macs and generally not so fast iPhone, iPad and iPod touches.
