Acorn 3.2 tweaks rotation, bezier curve, speed, more

In addition to more than a score of bug fixes, this latest release of Flying Meat’s image editor brings fresh features to the carving table, as well as a number of changes. Such as? You can press Command + Shift + S to Save As (a.k.a. Export).

My favorite image editor has gotten a boost. Acorn 3.2 is now available and comes to market with the following new features:

Adobe Education Store • A new pref to ignore rotation gestures has been added
• Individual points in a bezier curve can now be selected and moved with the arrow keys
• Clicking on the gradient preview where you’d like a new color stop to show up will now add one
• Performance improvements with very large images
• The brush designer can now make brushes up to 400px in size
• ”Layer on Images in Acorn” now has an opacity option

Again, in case you missed it in the lead, Command + Shift + S (Save As) is back — thank you, Flying Meat.

You can download a 15-day demo of Acorn. Alternately, if you’re ready to buy, get it on Mac App Store ($49.99) — support great software and the Fairer Platform.
